Luke is our little CopyCat!

He likes to mimic everything that we do... and it gets really funny and really scary at times. He truly does not know what all of his limitations are just yet. :-) Our family favorite is when he prays at the dinner table.

What else has the little man figured out?

*He's figured out how to catapolt objects, helping them fly through the air from one side of the house to the other through the use of a ruler, stick, pen/pencil, screw driver, etc.

*He loves to undress himself, setting new fashion statements when he is only partially successful. (You dare not try and fix it either.)

*He hasn't figured out how to get his shoes on his own feet just yet (without help), so he will give up and put Emily's on and then say his good byes to mommy and daddy and try to walk out the door. (He hasn't been repeatedly successful with getting out the door.)

*He loves to push doors shut and then lock them (when on the inside). He can't figure out how to unlock them or turn the knob enough to actually get back out the door.

*He likes to push the 'restart' button on the computer because it's within his reach and he gets a response from the computer after each push.

*He has redeveloped a fascination with throwing and dropping food when at the dinner table. It's really frustrating for mommy.

*He loves to figure out how things work, or what little pieces make things... and ends up breaking a lot of items around the house. Ahhh!

*He's really into cause and effect experiments. (A little mad scientist???)

*He has the most deathly screech when his sister touches him (and he doesn't want to be touched). It's making it difficult to take them both to stores and restaurants for the time being. She can't help herself but poke and prod until she gets the 'negative response.'

*He loves it when sissy will pull around the kitchen by his hands as though he's skiing on his knees on the kitchen floor. He's squeals with delight over that one.

*He is thrilled and oh so content when he finds a water puddle. (Oh my, my.)

*We're trying to untrain his recent behavior of pointing at Emily and yelling, "Bad, bad baby!" hoping to get a response from her. It's typically done when she's perfectly content and he has failed to get her to pay attention to him. Of course, this starts a fight as she defends herself. We try to counter with, "Luke, let's be a good baby" or "Let's be a good boy." He's not buying into our antics just yet. :-)

*He loves to make lots of monster noises.

*He has the sweetest little 'no' in response to nearly every question we ask him.

What else is new?

We joined a family from school at the movies yesterday to see the Veggie Tale's "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything." It was a lot of fun for all of us.

Emily is really enjoying ballet and we can already see a lot of improvement in her form and ability to carry out basic steps. She's quite graceful. We're really impressed.
